Our futur projects

The Integration Festival is part of the cultural activities that the non-governmental organization Sport Culture Integration Canada, a non-profit organization, has set up to allow immigrants to express themselves freely. The integration festival creates a space for multi-ethnic and intergenerational exchange with the aim of promoting, disseminating and developing the cultures of the world and of people of immigrant background in the National Capital Region. This event cultivates the difference and constitutes a real base for the children of immigrants and natives. It will allow them not only to get to know the culture of their ancestors, but also to savour it as they grow up. In other words, our wish is that all communities discover and learn about each other's cultures.

Selon une enquête faite par U.S. News Best Countries en août 2019, le Canada est pour la quatrième année consécutive, le pays qui offre la meilleure qualité de vie au monde. L’étude mesure la qualité de vie en évaluant les domaines suivants : l’éducation, le caractère abordable des prix, l’emploi, la stabilité économique, la stabilité politique, la parité salariale, la conciliation du travail et de la vie familiale, la sécurité publique et la qualité des soins de santé dans 80 pays du monde.

To create a place of encounter, exchange and diversity between different communities, including immigrants, Aboriginals and Canadians in the National Capital Region.
To present and enhance the culture of immigrants and natives through music, food and traditional materials.
To provide opportunities for immigrants, aboriginals and their descendants to develop or express their artistic and cultural talents.
To develop national and international dissemination networks to promote the exchange between Canadian cultures and artists.
To offer visibility to artists of Canadian diversity and to provide support for those who are talented and wish to make a career.
Give a good image of the National Capital Region.

THE MAIN ACTIVITIES

Le Canada est classé second pour ce qui est de l’accessibilité à la citoyenneté et troisième dans la catégorie générale des « meilleurs pays ».

Aujourd’hui, le Canada est perçu comme un pays ayant un bon marché de travail, respectueux des droits de la personne et attaché à la justice sociale. De plus, le Canada s’est hissé au premier rang en étant considéré comme noncorrompu et respectant les droits de propriété.

The Integration Festival is an event dedicated to socialisation and cultural exchange between immigrants, natives and the host community which carries out its activities through three axes:

SOCIALE

For the first edition in 2022, our activities will take place during the last four days of the second week of July. The first day will be devoted to North, Central and South American culture. On the second day, we will have the pleasure of discovering Asian culture. The third day will be devoted to Africans and the last to Europeans and the last day will be devoted to Europeans and West Indians. Each community is free to prepare what it deems relevant to the public while respecting the laws of Canada.

The festival is a successful model of multiculturalism, integration, inclusion, cultural, economic and tourism development for immigrants, Aboriginal people and the host community.

These events are also the means to raise awareness on cultural internalisation as this festival :

Provides an opportunity for different communities to meet, communicate and exchange their cultures,
Gives the general public the opportunity to discover the talents of local, national and international artists;
Contributes to the host society and to the intercultural dialogue between the different peoples that make it up.
